Easter Egg Making Class & Chocolate Tasting Experience at The Designerie

Event Information

Learn how to create a perfectly moulded Easter Egg and enjoy a chocolate tasting experience with award winning chocolatier Ruaraidh Bailey of North Coast Chocolates.

Using the finest quality Callebaut milk chocolate you will be shown how to paint your own creative design into the mould.

You will then flood your design with chocolate to create a smooth and deliciously thin (but strong) chocolate shell.

Once you have the two halves, you will be shown how to sandwich together to create your completed egg ready to eat!

Additional Information:

Class also includes a tasting experience.

Age suitability: Adults

Suitable for: Beginners to intermediate. Any chocoholic, those who like to produce handmade gifts, and anyone after a special Easter experience.

For any special dietary requirements, please contact The Designerie before booking.

Taste Causeway is an accredited Slow Food destination, one of only a handful of destinations in Ireland to be awarded the accolade by the global Slow Food Movement. To launch and celebrate this prestigious award Taste Causeway are running a programme of events, dining experiences, tours and special menus.   Slow Food stands for Good, Clean and Fair food.  Slow Food was initially founded by a group of activists in Italy during the 1980s with the aim of defending regional traditions, good food, gastronomic pleasure and a slow pace of life. Slow Food has grown into a global movement involving millions of people, in over 150 countries that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to the community and the environment.   Slow Food aims to reinvigorate people’s interest in the food they eat, where it comes from and how our food choices affect the world around us. Recognising the importance of our local food traditions and the years of accrued knowledge and culture that accompanies this, Slow Food promotes true enjoyment of good food, and food production systems that provide good, clean and fair food for everyone.
